Personally, I lived in Harrisonburg,Virginia all my life. There are so many places that create memories in Harrisonburg. Moving to Lincoln, Nebraska has reminded me all the places that are similar and different from Harrisonburg Virginia. I want to describe the places that are very meaningful to visit in Harrisonburg.
Shenandoah Valley has incredible views that are breathtaking that create nothing but memories. One place that definitely has amazing views at Shenandoah Valley are the Grand Caverns. Grand Caverns have so many fun activities including bike riding and fishing. “While visiting the Caverns, you will also have an opportunity to hike, bike, fish, play mini-golf, and swim in season in a beautiful park setting. We are a public park and also a Civil War Trails Attraction,” according to Visit the Beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The Grand Caverns help people learn something that is a huge part of history and a great place for touring.
Another great place to visit is Westover Pool. Westover is a community pool that has many activities other than swimming. “Westover Pool is excited to announce the addition of a 16 foot “Kersplash” climbing wall to the year-round diving pool,” according to Swimming and Aquatics. Personally, I feel like the pool creates nothing but memories because of the water slides. Westover pool, is definitely a place where people enjoy going to because of the fun experiences they get to have.
Last but not least, the Massanutten Regional Library is a place where a lot of people enjoy going to. It’s not like any typical library, it has a place where people could get on computers if they are unable to have any online service at home. A playroom, where all the little kids get to go to play toys, read books, or play games on the computers. There are many activities for teenagers to be apart such as going to a Teen Game Day. “Drop by the Community Youth Center and play a variety of games! Don’t miss this laid back fun afternoon for tweens and teens only!,” according to Teen Events Archives. I remember having so many memories at the library by hanging out with friends to study, or being part of events such as reading as many books as I can to win free prizes. The Massanutten Regional Library is a place to go to, whether it’s to relax and read or to have fun.
Harrisonburg, Virginia has so many places that create nothing but memories. There are so many places that are fun or could help people learn so much about the history of each place they go to. Harrisonburg, maybe a small city but has a variety of places to go to when having nothing to do. Each place has so many characteristics whether going to a cavern or library, it creates memories.
